lyrics

deep the valleys i’ve assailed
beleaguered in the darkened veil.
fierce and frail from failing fights,
when i glimpsed that distant light.

my lonesome roads,
careworn yet (somehow) untravelled,
unraveling a baffling, familiar view
recasted on account of having you.

what adventure now, my friend;
how high the heights that we’ll ascend?
whence will spring our vistas new?
lead and I will follow you.

still, sometimes
i get disquieted and anxious but,
unvanquished i hang this burden by
knowing nothing worth a whistle goes untried.

i don’t know what lies ahead,
what tricks and traps wait where i’ll tread.
through thick and thin and come what may,
in every trouble still you've stayed.

chanceless strides
bounding towards all that's uncertain.
averting the worst winds, bracing through,
for the love that sends me chasing after you...

about

pilgrims, we Seattle, Washington

each of us is prone to wander while we are here abroad. and
whatever which way we wonder (be it all for gain or blunder),
still holes in hearts point, pining after all we can’t quite know.
onwards! upwards! ever fonder we grow! never dimmer
but refining all our brilliance, chasing that Light.

and so we sing. songs for hope; for joy.
for all of us our wayward, journeying on.
going home.
